Services: Nursing Coordination
Proherant provides nationwide coordination of clinical services by identifying qualified registered nurses to administer complex specialty products or to train patients on self-administration in their homes or at convenient sites of service.
About our registered nurses:
- All registered nurses at home health agencies and site–of-service clinics are educated on program-specific content and must pass a competency test prior to providing services.
- Program-specific documentation is completed for all services performed and returned to Proherant for quality and content review and manufacturer reporting.
Clinical services include:
Patient education
- Nursing visits in the patient’s home or site-of-service clinics
- Product-specific information and administration
- Before completion of visit, a return demonstration of all skills taught is required by the patient or caregiver.
Administration of injections and infusions
- Infusions and injections of product in the patient’s home or site-of-service clinic by registered nurses
- Patient assessment and evaluation for desired outcomes, safety events, infections, and other adverse drug events
Outcomes reporting
- Outcome of visit reported to physician
- HIPAA-compliant reports on outcomes and utilization to the manufacturer
By using our extensive network of credentialed agencies and site-of-service clinics, Proherant coordinates clinical services nationwide with qualified registered nurses. Through our centralized coordination process, we manage physician referrals for clinical services by quickly matching a nurse to each patient’s geographic location and clinical needs.
